How We Work

As soon as your order is received our artists get to work. ARL ART paintings are painted under the instruction and supervision of Anne Lain, manufactured by hand and in house. We put a lot of time, effort and care into your order and if you are in any doubt about size or colour please call, email or send colours for us to match/compliment so as to reduce the risk of error/returns. We can sort any problems and will try to match any scheme for you, if you let us know. Thank You.

Once your order has been received, ARL ART will create your painting according to your instructions using the canvas size and colours that you have chosen. We paint your piece of art ourselves, to order, for you and all by hand.

Delivery Times

All items are hand oil painted to order by ARL ART resident artists on bespoke linen canvases. These paintings each takes approx 21-28 working days from order to despatch. This time scale excludes weekends and Bank Holidays.

Please Note: ARL ART CANNOT allocate a despatch date for your order until full payment has been made.

Delivery Times

ARL ART endeavours to despatch all orders within 30 days of receiving your bespoke order on line and in most cases you will receive your painting well before that time. ARL ART uses genuine Windsor & Newton oil paints to create your painting, and each one is hand painted to order, which takes a little while to dry before it can be packaged. ARL ART will confirm that your order has been received via email, please contact ARL ART immediately if you do not receive this confirmation within 24 hours of your order on line. ARL ART will also inform you when your painting is ready and the day it has been despatched.

Delivery

If you have not paid for a Saturday delivery then all deliveries are made between 9am & 5pm, Monday to Friday. The parcel WILL require a signature so please ensure you choose a suitable delivery address taking this into account.

If no-one is able to accept the delivery at the address given, please leave a SIGNED note on the front door advising the courier where to leave the parcel i.e. on the property, neighbour, local Post Office etc.

If delivery is unsuccessful, the parcel will be returned to the local depot and delivery will be attempted again the next day.

PLEASE NOTE when ARL ART uses outside couriers, the couriers CANNOT call clients for any reason. Delivery dates are advised with plenty of advance notice and therefore we would appreciate your assistance in calling or e-mailing the studio if you have any problems.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ARL ART CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DELIVERY DELAYS THAT OCCUR ONCE YOUR PARCEL HAS BEEN DESPATCHED, ALTHOUGH ALL EFFORTS WILL BE MADE TO AID CLIENTS IN ANSWERING THEIR CONCERNS AND CONTACTING THE COURIERS.

No Quibble Returns Policy

Under the United Kingdom’s Distance Selling Regulations, if you have received goods from ARL ART but simply changed your mind regarding their purchase, you may return these items for a full refund subject to the following conditions;

• Items must be returned to ARL ART in a saleable condition and in their original packaging. Any damage that has occurred to the items whilst in your possession may affect your refund.

• ARL ART MUST be notified of your intent to return an item within 7 days of receipt and then the item itself must be returned within the 7 days that follow that notification. ARL ART CANNOT refund on items returned outside of this procedure.

To return your unwanted order, please carefully repackage the item(s) in the manner they arrived to you and then call or e-mail the gallery to advise that you want to return your painting. Then you can book a collection from a courier firm or use royal mail at any post office. Once the goods are back with us, an e-mail will be sent in reply to your refund request. We cannot refund return postage costs unless the goods are faulty.

Any problems with any part of your order must be reported within 48 hours of receipt.

Original Art in Custom Colours – Very Important!

If you order an item from the drop down menu in our ‘Create your own’ section on the product page, the following applies. If you have a specific colour in mind and are unsure that the un-customised painting on the website will match, please bear in mind that differences in PC monitor and printer settings can affect colour perception. So if in doubt please POST A SAMPLE to ensure we can accurately create the art especially for you and to suit your space.

When ordering online, please make a note in the special instructions box at the checkout that samples are to be expected. If you simply want to swap colours i.e. change the brown to black, change the cream to white etc, then you can also note this in the special instructions box. If you feel unsure and you haven't sent a sample please note you may be subject to the below clause;

If you choose to return your canvases because the colours are incorrect and you failed to submit a sample when the artwork was first created, unless it is our mistake, then a minimum fee of £35 will be charged to cover the re-working of the painting and re-delivery. We will advise of the cost before reworking commences. Once the canvases have been returned, you will be issued a new despatch date which is subject to a 30 working day lead time.

Samples can be anything from magazine cuttings to DIY shop paint cards, fabric swatches, cut outs from magazines and wallpaper; or basically anything with the colours on, that you want us to use. Once your samples arrive, you will be sent an e-mail acknowledging their receipt. If you do not receive an e-mail shortly after you have posted your samples, please contact the gallery as the absence of samples may delay the despatch of your art.

Cancellation policy

Due to the bespoke nature of our paintings, orders CANNOT be cancelled after 4 working days from the date your order has been acknowledged on line by ARL ART because by then, production will have commenced. This however, does not effect your statutory rights under the long distance selling act and any faulty goods will obviously be replaced free of charge

Damages

Full refunds or exchanges will be made for any items lost or damaged during transit. To qualify, please keep all packaging and artwork as delivered and notify us within 24 hours of the item arriving. For weekend deliveries, please call on +44 (0)7785 715985 or email info@arlart.com

Please check the entire box for damage and, if possible, open the parcel and view the contents. Otherwise we advise all customers to sign, "NOT CHECKED" with the courier and score through any small print accepting the condition of the parcel if you have any doubts about damage upon delivery.

Any infringement of these rights will be pursued vigorously We reserve the right to use any canvases for our own advertising purposes.
